The Xbox Games Showcase has brought more games for Xbox One and Xbox Series X into focus. Xbox presented ten world premieres and 22 exclusive titles in the stream, including - no longer surprising - a short teaser on Fable. However, there was no official information on the release date of the Xbox Series X, which, according to current rumors, can at least be limited to November.
The Xbox Games Showcase gave fans an in-depth look at the Xbox family of games, led by Halo Infinite. A first look at Halo Infinite's campaign gameplay provided a taste of what players were up to with Release Xbox Series X expected. Also exciting: Everwild, Avowed and Fable. There was also Forza Motorsport to see.
Xbox Series X: Halo Infinite offers a huge game world
Halo Infinite is the largest and most complex halo that has ever existed. Now fans could take a look at the Halo Infinite campaign, new gameplay mechanics and the battles. Thanks to the smooth campaign gameplay with 60fps and a halo ring that is more than twice as large as the worlds of the two previous parts combined:
There were also some sequences from Forza. Currently there is Forza Motorsport Still in an early development stage and will later run at 4K and 60fps and, thanks to ray tracing in combination with ForzaTech, create a living world in which everything is connected - from the surfaces of the cars, which reflect each other, to the bright red color, which is reflected from wet asphalt, up to realistic light and shadow simulation. Developed by Turn 10 Studios, Forza Motorsport will be available on Xbox Series X, Windows 10 PC, and Xbox Game Pass.
Rare, the makers of Sea of Thieves, are participating in the game Everwild. The basic idea is inspired by the diverse beauty of nature and immerses the player in a mystical world. Fans slip into the role of an "Eternal", explore the picturesque world and get in touch with a living environment. Everwild appears on Xbox Series X, Windows 10 PC and Xbox Game Pass.
Obsidian did again Grounded shown - with a funny sidekick Cyberpunk 2077. Grounded is a survival adventure with co-op elements in which you explore a seemingly unspectacular backyard - but you have shrunk to the size of an ant! The developers combine role-playing elements with a different kind of struggle for survival and create an adventure in which you and three friends explore the backyard and together look for a solution to how you can grow back to normal.
Much more exciting, however, was the announcement of a new role-playing game from Obsidian Entertainment: avowed. There wasn't much more to see than a short trailer, but seeing it makes you want more. In Avowed, fans experience classic fantasy from a first-person perspective.
The Fable could be shown has already been suspected. And in fact - as the grand finale of the show, so to speak - there was a short teaser announcing the game. Fable on Xbox Series X marks a new chapter in the popular saga. Fans explore a land full of mystical creatures and places. Playground Games is responsible for the development. Fable appears for Xbox Series X, Windows 10 PC and at the start also in Xbox Game Pass.

Microsoft had also revealed that some Xbox Game Studios titles are being revised for the next-gen console, including Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Gears Tactics, Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Sea of Thieves.

Also extremely exciting: A horde shooter in the Warhammer universe from the developers of the Vermintide co-op franchise. Warhammer 40.000: Darktide, as it is called, is a new four-player co-op game in which you and your friends have to prove yourself against waves of enemies.
What was not exactly expected for the Xbox Game Showcase, but was also not surprisingly announced, is a release date for the Xbox Series X. So fans will have to keep waiting. The limitation to November as the release period is rather unofficial, even if the information should come directly from a Microsoft manager. In response to a request from tech reporter Dina Bass* Microsoft CFO Amy Hood had "confirmed" the month, but without naming a specific date.
As part of the showcase, Microsoft Xbox also announced that it has more information on upcoming games up its sleeve. So fans haven't seen everything in the current stream.
