At this year's Game Awards 2021, Xbox won five of the coveted awards for the titles Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5 and Age of Empires IV. Other highlights of the show include news and announcements about Xbox games, including the first gameplay trailer for Senua's Sacrifice: Hellblade II and a trailer for the new Halo series.
Every year the Game Awards honor special achievements within the computer game industry. This year, Xbox won five of the popular awards for various top titles from Xbox Game Studios. There were more nominations - and with them chances for even more awards. In the end, however, it should stay with the five in total.
Psychonauts 2 in the running many times
The award for "Best Audio Design" went to the racing game Forza Horizon 5. With the new offshoot of the racing game series, Playground Games and Xbox have also won further awards: in the categories "Innovation in Accessibility" and "Best Sport -/racing game".
In addition, two other Microsoft top titles were able to get their hands on awards. Age of Empires IV received the award for “Best Sim/Strategy Game”. Halo Infinite topped the podium in the Player Voice category.
There were also nominations for other titles in several categories for Xbox Game Studios:

- Game of the year: Psychonauts 2
- Best Game Direction: Psychonauts 2
- Best Art Direction: Psychonauts 2
- Best story: Psychonauts 2
- Best action adventure: Psychonauts 2
The developers at Double Fine around industry veteran Tim Schäfer should be pleased with the numerous nominations for the action adventure Psychonauts 2: after all, the team made a terrific comeback after many years with the second part. It's a shame that Psychonauts 2 ended up empty-handed, but it doesn't change the fact that the action adventure is one of the best games of the current season concerns.

Cuphead: The new DLC Cuphead - The Delicious Last Course will be released on June 30, 2022 on Xbox.
