WWE 2K22 is coming to PC and consoles in just a few weeks. Hardly a day goes by without new trailer material that also shows gameplay. A showcase now features Rey Mysterio in a fight against Dolph Ziggler, mixing scenes from a real-life match with those from WWE 2K22.

WWE 11K2 Visual Concepts' new interpretation of the wrestling video game series will be released on March 22th. In addition to visual improvements, there will also be new game modes, including “My GM” and the Universe mode.

WWE 2K22: Gameplay again

What fans are most interested in so close to release is new gameplay material - the trailer, which is just over a minute long, shows a lot of it. Rey Mysterio "in action" vs. Dolph Ziggler. The scenery is from the year 2009. At that time, the highflyer competed against Ziggler at SummerSlam. Gameplay sequences mix with real combat highlights in the video.

The roster is also slowly filling up: alongside Dolph Ziggler and Rey Mysterio, you will be able to play Cesaro, The Miz, The Undertaker by Shawn Michaels, among others. Fans can probably look forward to a wrestling festival if the developers have actually learned from their mistakes and given the game a new coat of paint. The expectations are correspondingly high, after all, the last part of the WWE 2K series in particular did everything else well with critics and fans. Publisher 2K and developer Visual Concepts are looking to make amends – the motto proclaimed for WWE 2K22 is: “It hits different”.

Rey Mysterio himself ensures the right mood. WWE 2K22 will be released for PC and next-gen consoles, but also for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. With the deluxe edition of the game, fans get three-day early access to the game.
