World of Warcraft: Dragonflight - Release in 2022!

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is expected to be released later this year. Blizzard has unlocked the pre-orders for the new WoW expansion and states on the relevant page that the title will be available by December 31, 2022.

Blizzard is still good for a surprise. Instead of advertising news about the expansion with waving flags and loud roars, the start of the pre-order phase is simply announced. And boom: You can already live the game in your virtual shopping cart. And there is also a release window now.

Apparently Blizzard is releasing World of Warcraft: Dragon Flight much closer than fans would have guessed. Only a few MMO veterans seriously expected a release this year, because during the reveal event Blizzard was still silent about a possible release period - and that was only a few weeks ago.

Two things are now certain: First, according to Blizzard, the new expansion will be launched in the current year 2022 – when exactly is still unknown. The publication should only have taken place by December 31st. This is evident from the small print in the context of the pre-order. This is not a real promise, a postponement is possible, but not very likely. Blizzard's vague statement can therefore be regarded as "set" - after all, the material released so far for Dragonflight also indicated that the developers are at a very advanced stage.

Second, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight will be available in four versions:
