With the LSX II Wireless HiFi system, KEF is launching a new speaker for impressive sound that can give a gaming PC a sound upgrade. But the speakers can also be connected to consoles such as the PS4, PS5 or Xbox to give the sound of the television a much better sound.
The compact speaker system with built-in KEF Uni-Q driver brings high-fidelity audio to your home for a very special gaming experience. The LSX II offers powerful sound from two loudspeakers and can be connected to all devices thanks to extensive connection options. However, the quality also has its price: the manufacturer's recommended retail price for the wireless gaming speakers is 1.499 euros.
LEX II as a further development of the LSX
The LSX II is an evolution of the first award-winning LSX and represents over 60 years of KEF acoustic expertise. In addition to the modern and minimalist design of renowned industrial designer Michael Young, the LSX II offers technological innovations and increased usability to intensify all listening experiences.
The LSX II is the next generation of plug-and-play speaker systems. Equipped with the new Wireless W2 platform, extensive connectivity, the KEF Connect App and far-reaching streaming capabilities, the LSX II can play sound in any way imaginable - with a minimum of fuss. The speaker system connects to a TV, desktop, laptop, console or turntable and the room is instantly filled with sound.
However, there is something for gaming fans to bear in mind: In order to reduce unavoidable WLAN latency times, it is necessary to connect both speakers to each other with the inter-speaker cable (LAN cable) when gaming.
Thanks to the knowledge and experience of KEF engineers, the LSX II incorporates some of the British heritage brand's pioneering technologies to produce high-fidelity audio. The LSX II uses a specially designed version of 11th generation KEF Uni-Q drivers to spread sound evenly throughout the room. The advanced Music Integrity Engine, optimized for the Uni-Q driver, delivers perfectly timed playback for better clarity and tighter, more accurate sound.
The stereo concept allows the music to unfold and breathe in space. This creates a three-dimensional sound stage. The speakers seem to disappear, allowing the listener to fully immerse themselves in the sound experience.
The latest KEF Connect app allows instant control of the speakers with your smartphone or tablet. After unpacking the speakers, the app offers an intuitive setup process that ensures easy commissioning. The connection for streaming, control and other settings makes it possible to personalize audio playback and adjust the LSX II to perfectly integrate into any living space.
The LSX II is available in five different finishes: Mineral White and Lava Red models are coated in matte satin and high gloss lacquer respectively, while Carbon Black and Cobalt Blue are covered with a specially designed fabric by Danish textile designer Kvadrat. The Soundwave Version by Terence Conran Edition was one of the last works by the iconic British designer. This version has the 'Soundwave' pattern woven into the unique Kvadrat fabric and is complemented by Conran's signature blue of the port and drivers - a real statement.
Every aspect of the LSX II system has been carefully considered to complete and enhance the home entertainment experience: from multi-room connectivity with additional wireless speakers via Airplay 2, Chromecast or Roon, to interior design with the color-matched S1- Stand or the discreet tabletop and wall-mount options, as well as the P1 tabletop stand and B1 wall mount.
