With Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the gaming year could have a wonderful adventure title ahead of it. After the first official presentation of the video game, it is now clear: Indy is really Indy. The title is scheduled to appear in 2024 – including on Game Pass.
You can feel whatever you want about the last Indiana Jones movie - you can like it or not. Or you can simply see the film as a nice farewell to the whip-wielding archaeologist from the big screen. But fans of the character don't have to completely miss out on Indiana Jones when it comes to a screen appearance: Machine Games and publisher Bethesda Softworks are bringing the legendary hero back with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - just as you would hope.

Until the first official presentation, it was completely unclear what fans could expect from the game. Now it is clear: It will be a kind of Tomb Raider, but with the “original hero”. That means: Harrison Ford lends his face to Indiana Jones and in the German version you will hear the actor's well-known dubbing voice. This is nothing new for Wolfgang Pampel: around the millennium he had already voiced the archaeologist in the titles Indiana Jones and the Tower of Babel and Indiana Jones and the Legend of the Imperial Crypt.
What is also clear: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be a real adventure, as one would expect from the franchise based on the film. The story takes place between the films Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. The game closes a gap and tells the story of the archaeologist's life between the known events.
The game is played primarily from the first person perspective; the whip as an iconic weapon is specially simulated and can be used in a variety of ways.
A lot of space in the game is taken up by puzzles and puzzles; You know this from Tomb Raider - but it fits Indiana Jones even better, because you automatically feel reminded of the consequences of solving puzzles from the films.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is scheduled to be released this year. Then for Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game will also be available on Game Pass subscription at no additional cost.
