Developer and publisher Capcom has announced the new Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. The comprehensive version of the award-winning beat'em up classic will be released in February 2020 for PC and Playstation 4 and will then bring a new fighter with Gill. Whoever is already playing Street Fighter V now can, according to Capcom, move into the virtual arena with the final boss of Street Fighter III in December.

The new version of the fighting game should be available in stores as early as February next year and then include 40 characters, 34 arenas and more than 200 costumes. The Street Fighter V: Champion Edition contains all the content of the first release and the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition - with the exception of Fighting Chance costumes, brand cooperations and the Capcom Pro Tour DLC.
In addition, the Champion Edition includes all characters, arenas and other content that has been added to the game since the Arcade Edition was released.
Solo and Multiplayer: Champion Edition offers many modes
Fans can fight their way through various single-player and multiplayer modes that leave little to be desired for newcomers and experienced players. The available modes include story mode, arcade mode, team battle, ranked match and the casual match.
With Gill, a fighter returns in February who die-hard fans already know from the Street Fighter series. Gill is a master of pyrokinesis and cryokinesis, which allows him to master fire and ice in a perfect balance of the elements. Even if he prefers to stay hidden, Gill now faces his adversaries to fulfill the millennia-old revelation of the Illuminati. If you don't want to wait that long, you can buy Gill as a paid DLC for 100.000 Fight Money as early as December.
The Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be available digitally and in stores for PlayStation 4 from February 14th, with a Steam version for PC then also being offered. From November 18th, previous Street Fighter V owners can already purchase an upgrade package that grants immediate access to all content of the Champion Edition until the release of the full version on February 14th. This means that buyers of the first release of Street Fighter V can still access all game content.
All new game modes and game balance updates are completely free for all Street Fighter V players. Additional DLC game characters can be earned free of charge through various in-game challenges and the in-game currency earned as a result. DLC content can also be unlocked directly with real money. Additional, optional content can also be activated with Fight Money, the virtual currency earned while playing.
