The toy fair opens its model railway and model construction hall to the general public over a weekend. The sale of the digital day ticket will start on December 5, 2022. The two "Open Days" will then take place on February 4 and 5 in Hall 7A.
For 72 years, the Spielwarenmesse has had a very specific fascination for young and old. The organizer and well-known companies from the model railway and model building segment are now also giving interested end users the opportunity to experience the "Spirit of Play" live in Hall 7A of the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. Anyone interested in the topic can purchase a ticket online for February 4th and 5th, 2023.
Fair fulfills exhibitors' wishes
With the opening of the model railway and model building hall, the Spielwarenmesse team is fulfilling a major wish from suppliers in this segment.
"As a long-standing exhibitor at the toy fair, we really welcome this innovation and are already looking forward to the direct feedback from our consumers," emphasizes Märklin boss Florian Sieber.
In addition to the market leader in the field of model railways, Faller, Kato, Noch, Tillig and Viessmann, among others, will also be available on the trade fair weekend from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. for an open exchange with their target group. In the model construction segment, for example, Italeri, IXO-IST, Tamiya Carson, Schuco, Solido and Wilesco are represented. A joint action area including a miniature show, which serves as an additional contact point, rounds off this special trade fair experience for visitors.
The digital tickets are available from December 5th at a price of 6 euros on the Spielwarenmesse website www.spielwarenmesse.de/openday. There is no ticket sale on site. Children from the age of six have access to Hall 7A on the weekend of the trade fair – entry is free of charge up to the age of 17.
A sale of products does not take place. Access for end users on the "OPEN DAY Modelleisenbahn & Modellbau" is exclusively via the East Entrance. A shuttle bus takes interested parties from the Mitte entrance and the nearby “Messe” underground station.
