Amazon Games and Crystal Dynamics announce that they have reached an agreement whereby Crystal Dynamics will develop a new multi-platform Tomb Raider title with Amazon Games' support and also publish the game worldwide.
The as yet untitled new Tomb Raider game is a single player narrative adventure that continues the story of Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider series. It contains all the elements that have made Tomb Raider one of the most popular game series.
The player takes control of the confident and multi-layered heroine Lara Croft in an environment that requires exploration and creative pathfinding, with mind-bending puzzles to solve and a multitude of enemies to defeat. Crystal Dynamics harnesses the power and cutting-edge technology of Unreal Engine 5 to take storytelling to the next level in the largest and deepest Tomb Raider game yet. The title is currently in an early stage of development and more details will be announced at a later date.

Crystal Dynamics has developed and published dozens of award-winning titles over the past three decades, including world-renowned franchises such as Legacy of Kain and Tomb Raider.
The Tomb Raider franchise spans more than 20 video games, has delighted more than 170 million people around the world and has sold more than 1996 million copies since the first part was released in 95. The recent Survivor trilogy, consisting of Tomb Raider (2013), Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015), and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018), has received more than 200 Best of awards and nominations.
The agreement with Crystal Dynamics represents a further expansion of Amazon Games' AAA publishing efforts, which also includes Smilegate's Lost Ark RPG and Bandai Namco Online Inc.'s recently announced Blue Protocol. The upcoming Tomb Raider title will be Amazon Games' first narrative single-player title, following the success of the multiplayer titles New World and Lost Ark.
