The developer studio of digital Pokémon games, Game Freak, recently suffered a confirmed hacker attack in which a series of information about future video games, the Gen 10 of Pokémon, details about the new Nintendo Switch 2 console and a multiplayer Pokémon game have come to the surface. The creative minds behind the MMO are said to have been inspired by the popular third-person shooter Splatoon. Now the first images from the leak of the presumed new Pokémon game have been published.
The new multiplayer Pokémon Switch game is said to be in development at ILCA and Game Freak under the code name "Synapse". A final game title has not yet been announced. The MMO has been in the works since 2019. The first code name was "Rodeo".
For Switch and Mobile
The game is set to be released for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. Nintendo's team shooter series "Splatoon", in which paint is fired instead of ammunition, is said to have served as a model for the inventors. In the future, Synapse will involve defeating Pokémon and going on a wild ride on their backs. It is currently unclear whether Pokémon multiplayer will ever reach the domestic Switch consoles. However, the hackers have already leaked images of the gameplay that appeared on X:
Ok now, what happened to this game? We don't know.
This game has been in development since at least 2019, longer than any recent main series game.
There's no information there about it's current status, HOWEVER the hacker mentioned a new game with codename Synapse that… pic.twitter.com/hMMJaf1E3D

During the hacker attack on the Game Freak servers, over 1 TB of top secret information was stolen. According to the developer studio, personal data of 2606 employees was leaked to the public. The hackers also announced that the tenth generation of Pokémon, "Gaia", is planned for the new Switch console, which is scheduled to be released in 2025.
Dubbed "Switch 2" by fans, the alleged official name of the new Nintendo next-gen console is "Ounce" - if the hackers are to be believed. In addition, data has emerged that reveals the code name "Ikkaku" of "Pokémon Legends ZA", the sequel to the action RPG "Pokémon Legends: Arceus". The developer of Pokémon games, Game Freak, has now taken precautions to ward off future attacks. Affected employees will receive help.
