Mando and Grogu can be seen in the new trailer for The Mandalorian - Season 3 - but that's not all. The approximately one and a half minute film snippet confirms the start of the new season of the series on March 1st on Disney + - and reveals some details about the story.
With The Mandalorian, Disney has created a successful format whose new seasons fans are looking forward to. On March 1st – and thus in a few weeks – The Mandalorian will start its third season on the Disney+ streaming service.
Mando on Mandalore
The short video at the start of the third season has some details ready: Among other things, there is a view of Din Djarin's journey to Mandalore, the destroyed world of the Mandalorians. Mando wants to restore his honor there, which he lost when he took off his helmet.
And fan favorite Grogu is also part of the party. The new season of The Mandalorian appears to be revealing some information about the mini Padawan's past. At least that's what the trailer suggests. You can see some sequences with flashing lightsabers. That Grogu is in Din Djarin's spaceship shouldn't come as a big surprise to Disney Plus subscribers, at least if they've watched The Book of Boba Fett series. The showrunners have linked the two series formats. Grogu didn't like Luke Skywalker as much as hoped. This was followed by a reunion with Mando.
In terms of film, fans can probably look forward to fireworks. Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung and Peter Ramsey, among others, took the director's chair. Carl Weathers, who plays Greef Karga in the series, also directed an episode. The names are impressive: Rachel Morrison received an Oscar nomination as director of photography for Black Panther, Peter Ramsey was one of three directors behind Sony's Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Lee Isaac Chung was responsible for Minari - and is implementing the sequel to Twister. Also there are Rick Famuyiwa Bryce Dallas Howard, who were already responsible for episodes of the first two seasons.
