On October 4th, Katana get into the fight: The King of Fighters XV will receive bladed fighter supplies as DLC with Haohmaru, Nakoruru and Darli Dagger from Samurai Shodown.
Including the characters from Samurai Shodown, there are now 54 fighters in KOF XV and more will be added in the future. Also, thanks to Haohmaru's arrival, the main characters from all major fighting game series from SNK are now united in KOF XV.
Brawl with 54 fighters
SNK today announced that Team Samurai will join The King of Fighters XV on October 4th. Haohmaru, Nakoruru, and Darli Dagger from the popular fighting game Samurai Shodown then slice their way into the game.
Haohmaru is a traveling swordsman striving to master the art of the sword. He is a brave and free-spirited fighter who despises cowardice. Sake in hand, he travels from country to country in search of a worthy opponent. He travels through time and space to the KOF stage to help his girlfriend Nakoruru and battle new, formidable opponents. (Voice actor: Daiki Nakamura)
Nakoruru is a Kamuy warrior who has the ability to communicate with nature. She became a spirit of the earth and dedicated herself to protecting nature. She has returned to the present to join forces with Haohmaru and Darli to thwart Verse's resurrection and exorcise the evil spirit. (Voice Actress: Mai Nakahara)
Darli Dagger is a shipbuilder with her own island shipyard. In addition to her tremendous strength, she also uses the skills she possesses as a carpenter and the self-defense skills she learned from pirates in battle. She joins Haohmaru to assist Nakoruru in her mission. Darli is preparing for some intense battles, which is even more exciting for her than seeing the latest developments in shipbuilding. When Haohmaru and his team join KOF XV on October 4th, all the protagonists of SNK's fighting game series will be united. These include Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury, Kyo Kusanagi from the KOF series and Ryo Sakazaki from Art of Fighting.
With the new DLC characters, there are 54 playable fighters. But more are on the way.
SNK is also adding music from the KOF Maximum Impact series to the DJ station. This allows players to customize the background music of their fights and choose their favorite songs for free. More songs will be added in the future.
