Games that improve the physical fitness of users are becoming increasingly popular in Germany. Every second German between the ages of 25 and 34 has already tried such a game. A representative study commissioned by the Association of the German Games Industry now shows that fitness games are becoming increasingly popular in all age groups.
A Survey of the market research company YouGov on behalf of game shows that around 47% of Germans are potentially interested in games for physical fitness or have already used them. Around 2000 people aged 16 and over were interviewed for the survey.
Fitness games attractive for all age groups
"Games for physical fitness are very popular with young and old, because they are not only fun, they also motivate people to do sports," says Felix Falk, Managing Director of the industry association game, on the results of the survey.
Around 30% of those surveyed stated that they had already used a fitness game. Another 17% are at least interested in such games. The 25 to 34 year olds have the greatest experience with fitness games, more than half of whom have already tried such games. Even among those over 55, the proportion of experienced or interested people is 30 percent.
