Exercising one's right to vote should be a matter of course in today's state election in North Rhine-Westphalia - in the upcoming 2017 federal election anyway. German Game Award 2017
The German Games Prize has a long tradition and is awarded annually by Friedhelm Merz Verlag in Bonn, the host of one of the world's most important trade fair events for board games (international game days - GAME). The award ceremony always takes place on the evening before the fair in October. In contrast to the “Game of the Year” jury prize, the German Games Prize is purely a public prize in which players, dealers and press representatives are asked to throw their favorite titles into the ballot box.
All innovations from the field of board and parlor games of the current year can win. For the German Games Prize, the period is limited by SPIEL'16 in Essen and the Spielwarenmesse 2017 in Nuremberg. Each participant can enter what they think are their five favorite game titles in the online form. In addition, a children's game can be listed separately. The winner is then determined from the most frequent mentions. Interested participants have until July 31, 2017 to vote. This year Friedhelm Merz Verlag is raffling off more than 100 board games and free tickets for the upcoming SPIEL'17, which will take place from October 26th to 29th in Essen.

RPC Fantasy Awards 2017
There is not much time left for voting at the RPC Fantasy Award 2017, which will be awarded at the Role Play Convention 2017 in Cologne. This year the convention will take place on May 27th and 28th in the exhibition halls of Koelnmesse. Fantasy fans and role-players choose their favorites from a list of given titles from seven different categories.
Including PC and console games, pen & paper, literature, but also board games. The audience award serves as an orientation aid and identifies products with which fans have experienced extraordinary moments on the screen, on the gaming table or under the reading lamp. The award ceremony will take place as part of the trade fair event. Participants can win numerous prizes.
