Like Ticket to Ride, Ticket to Ride Legacy: Legends of the West remains the main objective. As the games progress, players will be confronted with unforeseen situations, opportunities and chances by opening boxes in order to fill their vault with income. In addition, new game areas will be opened up, unlocking new rules, additional content and many other surprises. In short, it's a whole new challenge. "It was important for us to offer new experiences and new gameplay features that go beyond the mechanics of our successful Map Collection series," says Adrien. "Almost all of the mechanics that Alan, Rob and Matt came up with are completely new for the Ticket to Ride series."
