Star Wars Unlimited is entering a new round: With the Fall of the Republic, the new card set, which in the English original is called "Twilight of the Republic", is now available for pre-order in stores.
The still young trading card game in the Star Wars universe is entering its third round with new cards and new accessories: This time, "Decline of the Republic" is all about action-packed lightsaber battles. Thematically, Fantasy Flight Games is drawing on the era of the Clone Wars, with the film Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and the animated series set in that time being the focus of the new expansion for the trading card game Star Wars Unlimited.
The trick is quite clever. At the start of the trading card game, the focus was on the popular classic film trilogy, in the second set, Fantasy Flight Games and Asmodee resorted to villains and smugglers, thus weaving the Mandalorian and Grogu and the associated content of the popular Disney plus series into the game. The third set is now also the younger generation of the Star Wars community banishes characters like Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, the clone troopers or General Grievous onto the cards.

Star Wars: Unlimited – Fall of the Republic is now available for pre-order, as Asmodee and Blackfire have announced. The products for the new TCG card set featuring many well-known lightsaber wielders are now available in the Asmodee flagship stores: the release will take place on November 8th. The third set also marks the end of the year for Star Wars Unlimited – Unlike Disney Lorcana, where new releases are released quarterly, Fantasy Flight Games' trading card game only releases three waves of cards per year.
There will be over 250 new cards again this time. The familiar basic products are available: a 2-player starter, the pre-release box, boosters and displays. Accessories once again come from Gamegenic, Asmodee's in-house specialist for suitable goodies to visually enhance the games.

Im 2-player starter As usual, everything you need to start playing right away is included, including two pre-made decks, tiles, play mats and deck boxes. Important for collectors: The box contains ten exclusive cards that can only be found in this two-player starter.
It is similar with the Pre-release box, which contains six boosters and exclusive promo cards: this time it's leader cards of Ahsoka Tano and General Grievous. With the pre-released box, fans can - as with previous card set releases - take part in Sealed tournaments on site.
Booster and Displays complement the portfolio and serve as central opportunities for players and collectors to expand their own card collection – and ultimately build powerful decks.
The portfolio is also complemented in the third set with plenty of accessories from Gamegenic. Fans can buy card sleeves, playmats in the Clone Wars design and matching deck boxes to personalize their game.

In addition to lightsaber fighters, Fall of the Republic is all about battle droids and clone troops. This comes with a new marker unit that can suddenly change the balance of combat units on the bad field. Such cards allow players to create additional units. This plays into the hands of fans of fast decks in particular. And this playful trick also fits thematically, because in the template for the set, large armies are known to clash.

Two new keywords also enrich the tactical possibilities in Star Wars Unlimited: Coordinate and burning. With Coordinate, you can upgrade cheap units, provided there are several of them on the battlefield. This also supports rush decks, allows for an aggressive style of play - and again fits the theme. It's similar with Burn; with this keyword, you can sacrifice your own units in order to then call more powerful troops onto the battlefield at a lower cost.
Due to the focus of the new “card tricks”, many quick-to-play decks are likely to land on the tables in the third set of Star Wars Unlimited.
