Ahead of the launch of the new Star Wars: The Old Republic – Legacy of the Sith expansion on February 15, Bioware has released another trailer that sheds light on the game's story. Scenes from the Galactic Republic and the Jedi as well as the Empire and the Sith can be seen.
Actually, fans should have played the new expansion Star Wars: The Old Republic - Legacy of the Sith long ago - shortly before the planned release in December, however, Bioware had postponed the add-on by a few weeks. It's supposed to be on February 15th and so far everything looks as if there won't be any further delays.
New trailer shows new content
The new trailer is exciting in several respects and not just an introduction to the start of the expansion: Bioware illuminates the story in the film snippet from the perspective of both factions. You can see characters, but also the new locations of Star Wars: The Old Republic - Legacy of the Sith. Behind all the terror is Darth Malgus, who works on a previously unknown plan to take over the galaxy.
Star Wars: The Old Republic – Legacy of the Sith will be a free add-on for subscribers to what is currently the only officially supported Star Wars MMORPG. Players will not only experience a brand new story, but also deep gameplay changes, including combat classes. The level cap will also be increased by another five levels. It is already the eighth expansion of the Star Wars game, which one would not have believed capable of staying power shortly after its release. At the time, the developers were criticized: too little content and half-baked balancing were two of the main problems. Bioware has now gotten a good handle on it and has given the MMO a decent lifespan.
Electronic Arts had recently three new Star Wars video games announced to be developed or produced by Respawn Entertainment.
