At Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, showed a first glimpse of the gameplay of Star Wars Outlaws, the first open world Star Warsgame that will launch in 2024 on Xbox Series X|S consoles, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via Ubisoft Connect.
Star Wars Developed by Massive Entertainment, Outlaws invites players to experience the Star Wars galaxy like never before in a unique story that straddles the storylines of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: The Return of the Star Wars Jedi Knight plays.
Adventures throughout the classic trilogy
As the Galactic Empire relentlessly pursues the ultimate defeat of the Rebel Alliance, the criminal underworld thrives. Fans will be introduced to the role of cunning outlaw Kay Vess, portrayed by Humberly González, and her loyal companion Nix, voiced by Dee Bradley Baker (Star Wars: The Bad Batch), hatch as they pull off one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen.
In search of a way to start a new life, fans join Kay and Nix as they fight, steal and cheat their way through the galaxy's crime syndicates, working their way up to become the galaxy's most wanted outlaws.
The wily outlaw Kay Vess and her companion Nix travel across the galaxy to places both familiar and new; from the humid jungles of Akiva to the windswept savannas of Toshara. Kay explores bustling cities and cantinas, tears through vast landscapes in her speeder and steers her ship, the Trailblazer, through the vast expanses of space.
When things get out of hand, the Trailblazer also aids them in chasing, dodging, and attacking to gain the upper hand in thrilling dogfights with the Empire and other opponents.
Kay and Nix are able to turn any situation in their favor: they can operate in stealth and use gadgets to steal valuables undetected, distract enemies with a well-timed maneuver, or get into sticky situations on their journey into a blaster fight overthrow.
Kay and Nix will join forces with a cast of outlaws along the way, including the battle-hardened droid ND-5, voiced by Jay Rincon. As they steal precious goods, infiltrate secret locations, and outwit their enemies, they must choose their decisions carefully, as each step in their journey impacts Kay's ever-changing reputation.
