Jeff Grubb has revealed a possible name for the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order sequel. Accordingly, the successor to Electronic Art's successful solo adventure Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. And there are more rumors – there are already rumors about the possible time frame for the release of “Jedi Fallen Order 2”.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a resounding success for Electronic Arts and the developers at Respawn Entertainment. The action-adventure has sold millions of times - and has now also made the leap to the new generation of consoles, specifically: Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5. It has long been clear that a successor will appear. There was no further information so far. That's still the case, but fans can at least be happy that the rumor mill is churning.
Star Wars Jedi Brand: Announcement at Star Wars Celebration?
The fact that rumors about the sequel to Star Wars Jedi.Fallen Order are doing the rounds right now is no surprise given the upcoming Star Wars Celebration convention. Fans still have to wait around two weeks, then there is the full roar of Star Wars – and probably one or the other surprise from the games industry. Now Venture Beats Jeff Grubb has named the possible name of the successor with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Not only does the title sound snappy, it would also go well with the story of Padawan Cal Kestis and his droid sidekick BD-1.
Above all, graphically, fans expect a feast. Not least because it is apparently clear that “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2” will only be released for next-gen consoles and PC – the last generation of consoles is skipped this time and thus also the technical limitations.
And Jeff Grubb also wants information about the release of the sequel: He assumes a release in February or March 2023, not unrealistic, but at least unusual for a Triple A game in the Star Wars universe. Similar to other well-known Star Wars video games (including Fallen Order, Battlefront 2, Squadrons), one would place the release period closer to the Christmas business.
The sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will not remain the only games title in the Star Wars segment. Two more games are in development under Electronic Arts leadership. One game is a time limit person shooter being developed by game director Peter Hirschmann's team; the second game will be a strategic title being worked on by developers led by Greg Foertsch at Bit Reactor.
Official information on new Star Wars video games can be expected at the Star Wars Celebration, which will take place from May 26th to 29th.
