Nintendo has proven with the latest edition of the Nintendo Direct Show that there can still be surprising announcements even in times of omnipresent information: One of the best Star Wars games, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, is being released for Nintendo Switch.
Next year: Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast follows Jedi Academy
Aspyr, the studio that brought Knights of the Old Republic to mobile devices, is responsible for the development. However, there is one downer. Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast is reduced to solo player mode, so there will be no multiplayer battles. That should change, however, with the successor Jedi Academy, which also contains the multiplayer variant.
Interesting and a novelty for the Star Wars video game is the fact that the Nintendo Switch's motion controls can also be used for gaming. That should also be the case at Jedi Academy. Lightsaber fights in particular should benefit from this, provided that they are implemented well.
Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast will be released on September 24th for Nintendo Switch - and also for Playstation 4. At the beginning of 2020, the Jedi Academy will be released.
