Under the brand HUCH! Some new products will also appear this spring thanks to the sales company Hutter Trade. This also includes three strategy games, all of which have a more or less medieval-inspired theme. It's about the invention of the printing press, the construction of a cathedral and about elves, dwarves, goblins and dragons.
Hutter Trade also has some new products for their HUCH brand in spring 2022! announced. One of the three novelties is already available and the other two are announced for April. The three new products can be assigned to medieval themes in the broadest sense. The players visit Johannes Gutenberg in his workshop, help shape the medieval city of Troyes and discover a fantastic world in Aetherya.
Gutenberg - Book printing as a competition
It takes you on a journey back in time to the 15th century, to the workshop of the famous Johannes Gutenberg. The order books are full, but is there enough money in the till to get all the materials you need together? The competition has already heard about the invention of the printing press and a tough battle ensues.
In this game, players bid on certain actions to expand their workshop or get new fonts, ink or refinements. It is also important to secure the support of wealthy supporters. A special system of rotating cogs allows you to secure a combination of bonuses with clever construction and thus score many points.
The game has a duration of 60-120 minutes. It is recommended for 1-4 players aged 12 and over and is already available.
Troyes - Perpetuate the family name
In 1200 the construction of Troyes Cathedral began. But it was not completed until 400 years later, after numerous incidents. In this historical game, players witness the rise of the remarkable medieval city of Troyes and help shape its eventful four centuries. It is about influencing the nobility, clergy and bourgeoisie. The name of one's own family should be immortalized in the history of this important city. At HUCH! The more than 10-year-old Troyes is now being published again as a German edition.
The players use their influence to hire citizens from the nobility, clergy and farmers and second them to various tasks. Each area on the game board has its own unique advantages. The military, for example, allow them to react with greater force to attacks from outside. The clerics do everything to complete the construction of the cathedral and offer their knowledge to the military and civilians. And finally, through the work of the civilian population, you earn the wherewithal to finance all of this.
The 90-1 players have six rounds spread over about 4 minutes to gather as many victory points as possible and become the most influential citizen in Troyes.
Aetherya - Simple game with many possibilities
Since elves, dwarves, goblins and dragons can always be associated with knights, Aetherya also fits the medieval flair of the other two new releases. The kingdom of Aetherya lies before the players in the form of maps, waiting to be explored. Humans, elves, dwarves, goblins and dragons live here, but they don't always get along. Who will succeed in making history and whose kingdom will perish in conflict? It is up to everyone to shape the land in their own way and peacefully accommodate all of Aetherya's inhabitants.
The player whose turn it is draws a tile, which is either face down from the draw pile or face up from the discard pile. Depending on that, the drawn card goes into your own kingdom or is discarded and your own face-down card is turned over. The game ends when all tiles in a kingdom are revealed.
In addition to a competitive mode, the game also has a cooperative and a solo mode. In addition, there are also different variants for players with different levels of experience. Aetherya is suitable for 1-4 players aged 10 and over and lasts about 20 minutes.
Troyes and Aetherya are expected to be available in April.
