The third part of the colorful multiplayer shooter Splatoon will be released on September 9, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. The game can already be pre-ordered for 59,99 euros in the Nintendo eShop.
In Splatoon 3, players find themselves in the district of Splatsville, an arid desert populated by Inklings and Octolings. At the heart of this area lies the metropolis of Splatsville, where the ink fights take place.
In the early afternoon, Nintendo announced a Splatoon 3 Direct on Twitter. It will be broadcast live on August 10 from 15 p.m. (CEST) on the YouTube platform. A 30-minute presentation full of new information about the game is planned.
Possible information about new maps and the story mode
So far, we haven't received a lot of solid information about Splatoon 3. So far, only the setting of the game is known, some new arenas, such as the Striped Eel Road or the Searing Chasm, in Splatsville and the surrounding wilderness, as well as a selection of new weapons, special weapons and moves.
Furthermore, the return of the cooperative Salmon Run with new bosses and attack waves was confirmed in a trailer. However, what exactly will be announced on Wednesday remains uncertain. Information about other maps and the story mode seems very likely.
