Spirit Island: Treasure chest with new material
In the Spirit Island: Treasure Chest, players will find components for the base game as well as the expansions Branch and Paw and Ragged Earth, with which they can further enhance their gaming experience. In addition to over 200 fine wooden markers, the treasure chest contains a new, large invader tableau with space for all cards and markers and special “foil” versions (without starting cards) for 29 ghosts, including the five newest ones.
The new Spirit Island ghosts appear in the form of mini-expansions, each containing a ghost with a low complexity. Three of the spirits are already available: Sunbright Whirlwind is a playful feline spirit focused on movement. Fangs lurking underground are rather immobile. He can effectively put an end to accumulations of invaders in an area. Completing the trio is another spirit that is strong in attack. Increasing heat in stone and sand ideally shows a strong presence near villages and cities in order to live up to its motto: Weaken and destroy.
Two more new ghosts will appear in December: Bottomless Mud of the Swamps and Watching Eyes in Trees. These two spirits are also suitable for newbies. While the Watching Eyes in trees are primarily strong in defense and inducing fear, the Bottomless Mud of the Swamps is an all-rounder whose strength includes, among other things, preventing the invaders from even discovering new areas.
