The Dutch retail chain HEAs a precaution, MA is calling back the railway set with item number 15.12.2235. Research has shown that part of this toy set - the red, pointed roof of the church tower - can be dangerous for young children. It can pose a choking hazard in children under three years of age.
Returns even without a receipt
Customers who own the said toy train set are asked to keep it out of the reach of children under the age of three, the company writes. The toys can also be returned to HEMA without a receipt or original packaging, either on site at a branch or by post. "The purchase price will then of course be refunded to the customer," the statement said.
For further information, customers can contact HEMA customer service on 0180 - 243-62-33 (note any costs that may apply).
“Quality, together with design and price, form HEMA's core values. HEMA therefore has strict safety requirements and deeply regrets that this wooden toy does not meet the requirements," says the Corporate Communications Department. And further: "Customer safety is HEMA's top priority. We apologize for any inconvenience".
