The first highlight event for board and parlor players in the current year 2017 is over. The Toy Fair took place in Nuremberg from February 01st to 06th, 2017. First press releases now indicate the success of the trade fair event. A total of around 73.000 trade visitors from 123 nations visited Bavaria's second largest city last week. This corresponds to a visitor increase of 3,2 percent compared to the previous year.
Most important industry event worldwide
Satisfaction has spread among the participating companies. Over 85 percent of the entrepreneurs responded positively to the Spielwarenmesse 2017 and were satisfied with the trade fair. 2.151 international companies show the great importance of the Nuremberg trade fair within the global toy industry. A total of 2.871 companies from 63 countries presented their innovations at the Spielwarenmesse 2017. A central theme of this year's trade fair was the presentation of technological toys, which were already among the best sellers in the 2016 Christmas season.
The newly introduced Tech2Play action area focused on innovative toys from five different categories: "Electronic Pets", "Robot Toys", "RC Drones", "Virtual Play" and "3D Printing". The interactive play offerings were well received by the trade visitors and confirmed the continuing trend towards the amalgamation of toys and technology.
