The Pegasus Spiele Publishing partner Deep Print Games is releasing four new products at SPIEL: the card game 5 Towers, the expansion of the family game Triqueta, the natural moorland and the two-person chess duel Match of the Century.
In the card game 5 Towers, two to five players ages seven and up want to build towers as tall as possible. Round after round, cards with tower sections are revealed. The players then take turns bidding how many of the cards they want to take. Whoever names the highest bid receives the announced number of cards and adds them to their own towers. But everyone is only allowed to build one tower of each type and the numerical values on the cards must decrease from bottom to top. This makes it increasingly difficult to place bids. In order to be able to score the most points in Kasper Lapp's family game, good timing and courage are required. Illustrations full of film and game references provide additional entertainment.
In keeping with the reprint of the family game Triqueta, the expansion Triqueta: Hidden Wolves is being released at SPIEL. In the game by Stefan Dorra and Ralf zur Linde, players put wooden animal pieces together into trios to collect points. Only one Triqueta may exist for each of the six animal species, otherwise players receive negative points. The Hidden Wolves expansion now brings an exciting two-person variant and a new animal species into the game: wolves. However, they are rather shy and prefer to hide in the shadows. At the end of the game, the shadow animal tiles must be revealed and can give a lot of points. But not only wolves can be found in the shadows, but also specimens of every other animal species, so taking such stones is never without risk.
Moorland plays out between thin wafts of mist and ancient trees, in the middle of the raised moor. In Steffen Bogen's connoisseur game, two to four people settle plant and animal species in their own moor and bring it to life. In order to “float” the plants into the right place and play the right cards in the moor, clever networks of waterways must be created. In order to win, it is important to bring the plant and animal species into the right balance. Structure variants for the moor provide variety for experienced gamers. Moorland appears in the In Nature series and purchasing the game supports environmental projects around the globe.
Summer 1972: Final match of the World Chess Championship in Reykjavik. American Bobby Fischer challenges the reigning Soviet world champion Boris Spassky. The event is declared in advance by the media to be the most important sporting event of the Cold War and develops into an incomparable thriller on a sporting and political level... This is where Paolo Mori uses his two-person connoisseur game Match of the Century at. In the tactical card game for ages XNUMX and up, players compete in several games, but these only last a few short moves, which is why every decision is particularly difficult. With the help of cards from the asymmetrical decks, mental stamina and the outcome of a game can be influenced - but only those who sacrifice their own advantage can use the cards effectively. Who will trigger the right card effect at the crucial moment and checkmate the opponent?
