The game! 2020 in Duisburg does not take place. This results from the decrees of the NRW state government and the general decrees imposed at the municipal level. Plans, the game! To make up for this year in 2020 are now off the table, according to the organizers. Therefore, there will be no reunion until 2021.

It's a pity, but the right decision: play it! 2020, originally scheduled for March 27-29, will no longer take place this year. Plans to postpone the board game fair to a date in the summer have now been swept off the table by the responsible organizers at Nostheide Verlage. "A possible alternative date at the beginning of July seemed too uncertain to us," said those responsible.

Play! 2021: Tickets purchased remain valid

Because it is uncertain how long the measures currently imposed will last, the organizers have decided, for understandable reasons, to stop the Spiel! To cancel 2020 completely and not to postpone it.

Important for all visitors who have already bought tickets: Tickets from this year are still valid for the game! 2021, which will take place from March 26th to 28th. Alternatively, the tickets can be returned, the face value, ie the purchase price without any reimbursement of shipping costs, will then be replaced.

If you want to bring at least a bit of play-but-flair home, you can have a look at the photos from last year here: Photo gallery for the game! 2019.

Pre-sale for the game! According to the organizers, 2021 could start as early as May, offering a “small consolation” for all fans: “In the week from March 23rd to 29th, the items that we would have had there are available for customers from Germany at trade fair prices in our Shop".

This refers to various subscription offers for the board game magazines of Nostheide Verlag, but also the popular trade fair cubes with the 2020 logo. The latter cost 1,20 euros plus two euros for shipping. If you prefer to wait: The dice from this year will be available at the next game! also to buy, then parallel u the new collective cube.
