For the third time in March 2020, the game fair “Play but!” takes place in the Duisburg Landscape Park North. Now the organizers have announced the first milestones that suggest that the game! 2020 could be at least as successful as the event this year.
The concept of a consumer fair for board and card games in spring is a complete success. 2019 came to the game! over 14.000 visitors, including many families with children, to the exhibition grounds in the Duisburg-Nord landscape park.
More games, more game publishers
According to the organizer, over 80 percent of the available space is already booked for the coming year. New to the Duisburg game fair This includes the publishers Pegasus Spiele and Ravensburger - in addition to the big names already known at the fair such as Amigo, Asmodee, ASS, Carletto, dlp, Tierra del Fuego, Haba, Hans im Glück, Hutter, Kosmos, Moses or Piatnik.
The popular game lending facility is also to be expanded in terms of area in 2020. There will also be a flea market again and an area where prototypes can be tried out.
The game! in Duisburg has been growing steadily since its premiere: the games fair recorded around 24 percent more visitors in 2019 compared to the figures for the previous year. Almost 100 exhibitors - mainly well-known industry giants, but also small publishers and game designers - presented their ideas for three days in the old ironworks of the Duisburg landscape park.
