Paradox Interactive today announced the Early Access launch of Stardeus, a sci-fi base building and colony simulation game for Windows, macOS and Linux PCs.

Developed by Kodo Linija, a solo developer from Lithuania, Stardeus challenges players to manage and build a massive spaceship with a variety of drones and human inhabitants, and keep their mobile base operational as they travel to the stars . Stardeus is available now through Steam Early Access for $29,99.

Genre mix around colony management

Stardeus is a sci-fi colony management simulator with aspects of automation, base building and space exploration. As a new AI tasked with building and managing a massive spaceship, players must oversee robots, drones and humans who are in turn responsible for building and maintaining the mobile colony.

At the same time, it is necessary to react to all problems that can arise from external catastrophes or the unreliability of the strong-willed colonists. Machines and resources must be manufactured, production chains automated, energy and oxygen managed, and finally flown to the stars to explore new planets, engage in trade and fend off attackers.

Stardeus offers emergent storytelling through an in-game story generator, modding support, and countless customization options. It is being developed in close collaboration with the game's community, while new options and features are constantly being added.
