British indie publisher Rebellion has released a new video for Sniper Elite 5 today, in which the development team gives a detailed look at the variety of weapons and extensive customization options in the game.

Rebellion has partnered with renowned military historian and Combat Dealers TV show star, Bruce Crompton, as well as the Imperial War Museum and Royal Armories Museum to capture thousands of reference images and sound recordings of World War II weapons and vehicles. This ensures maximum authenticity. The new video provides a behind-the-scenes look at the meticulous attention to detail that went into the development of the game.

Sniper Elite 5: Players can customize

Sniper Elite 5 offers a level of customization never seen before in the series: players can change a weapon's stock, magazines, receiver, barrel, scope and sights, and materials. They can be ideally adapted to your own play style, regardless of whether you prefer to proceed methodically, go directly into the action or prefer a mixture of both. Adjustments can also be made mid-game. For this purpose, workbenches are hidden on the various maps to be discovered. These in turn unlock more customization options.

Sniper Elite 5 will be released simultaneously on May 26th, 2022 on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 4 & 5 as well as PC via Epic Games Store, Steam and Windows Store. Pre-orders are now possible. All pre-orders will receive an additional Target Guide campaign mission entitled "Wolf Mountain". A deluxe edition is also available. This also includes the Season Pass One and the P.1938 Suppressed Pistol for pre-orders.

The new Weapons & Customization Spotlight also impressively shows the effort the Rebellion team puts into presenting the weapons as authentically as possible.
