Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 available for pre-order: 60 games

Sega Corporation has confirmed that pre-orders for the Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 are now open in Europe. The retro console is scheduled for release on October 27, 2022.

The Mega Drive Mini 2 comes with 60 titles from Sega's diverse catalog including - for the first time - games from the Mega CD era, new ports and previously unreleased games - titles include Sonic 3D Blast, Virtua Racing, After Burner II, Fatal Fury 2, Earthworm Jim 2, Populous, Streets of Rage 3, The Revenge of Shinobi and Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers. 

Sega continues to rely on retro consoles. The business with nostalgia is obviously going well, because the contingents of the new old game platform were usually sold out quickly in the past. You don't need much: in addition to the console, the basic package includes a controller, an HDMI cable and a USB power cable - but you have to organize a plug yourself. 

The Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 is a revised retro console based on the 2019 model. According to Sega, the hardware has been adjusted, and the 6-button gamepad is also new. However, the controllers previously released for the Sega Mega Drive Mini are also compatible.

The price for the Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 is around 110 euros. Pre-orders are already possible
