The date for the release of the second trailer for GTA 6 is up in the air - apparently you should take that literally, as a post on X from "GTA 6 Countdown" now suggests. The user has spread a rumor that even focuses on a specific day in November.
GTA 6: Moon phase as a clue?
Fans of Grand Theft Auto 6 have been getting creative for a long time while waiting for new trailer material to be released. Until now, it was considered likely that some news about GTA 6 would be revealed sometime around publisher Take-Two's earnings call in early November. The theory is quite plausible and by no means a gimmick. However, the new rumor that is currently circulating on the X platform is completely different:

The first and so far only trailer for GTA 6 was released about a year ago - so it's about time that Rockstar Games finally came up with new video material that reveals more about the game, gameplay or the story - and maybe even narrows down the release period again. So far there have been no official indications of a second trailer. If you believe the statements from GTA 6 Countdown, the second GTA 6 trailer could be released on November 22nd.
The theory is quite daring, but at the same time plausible. The focus is on the moon. More specifically: the phases of the moon. Rockstar Games itself had published an image of a new update for GTA Online, which is due to be released in December. Fans quickly asked whether the image might contain a hint of news about GTA 6. And apparently they found it.
The moon is prominently featured in the image. It shows a waning three-quarter moon, which is expected to appear on November 22nd. The day is a Friday, which is perfect for a big release like a new GTA 6 trailer. Conversely, this is nothing more than mere speculation, because Rockstar Games did not release the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 before or on the weekend, but on a Monday.
The fan theory about the moon phase as a clue is not completely far-fetched, because in the screenshot the Earth's satellite is strangely out of place, or rather quite conspicuously placed. So have the developers really hidden a clue here?
Fans will have to be patient, as there is no official information on this. The theory about a release date for the second GTA 6 trailer is therefore purely speculative. Overall, it is at least extremely likely that Rockstar Games will bring a second game trailer to light this year, but this is not guaranteed.
After all, there was already such a lunar phase theory last year. And this ultimately turned out to be rightRockstar Games had published an image with a moon whose phase indicated December 1st, the day on which the first trailer was released.
According to rumors, fans have two chances to get new details about GTA 6 this month: around Take-Two's earnings call on November 6th and on the newly revealed November 22nd.
