The board game Warhammer Quest: Cursed City will apparently get a new edition. This is indicated by a post on the community blog officially associated with Game Workshop. There will be a sales event in March, and the game is expected to go on sale later this year.
Those who missed out on the first edition of Warhammer Quest: Cursed City now have a new chance to secure the board game. Like that Warhammer Community Blog states there will be a limited time sale between March 5th and 20th. All fans who order the game during this time are guaranteed to receive it.
Warhammer Quest: Cursed City relaunched later
If you don't want to buy the game in the short time, you can be patient instead. Warhammer Quest: Cursed City is also set to receive a "real relaunch" later this year, along with two new expansions.
The game has been available since last year, at least in theory: all available copies were sold out in just under two hours. The disappointment was correspondingly great for all those who could not secure a game during this sell-out. A limited number of games were subsequently only available through retailers.
Further copies were initially not planned for online sale via Games Workshop, until the news that relieved some fans of the franchise came at the beginning of the year: There should be a reunion with the board game. This is now in two steps: first via the sales campaign and then via a relaunch.
The dungeon crawler based on the official Warhammer license is about cooperative fights against hordes of monsters in order to save the city of Ulfenkarn. Players take on the roles of various Age of Sigmar heroes, including a vampire hunter or witch hunter.
There is a little bit of story to the fights, which revolves around Boss Radukar, who has unleashed his hordes on the city in order to conquer it. Players face off against bosses and different monster types through cooperative gameplay. Each hero uses unique skills and equipment. The goal: put Radukar on hold.
