With the reprint of the first major worker placement board game and Eurogame from the Polish company Awaken Realms, The Great Wall, the renowned game publisher wants to publish a second edition of its popular board game and is responding to player criticism.
After a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2019 with over 15.000 supporters, Polish game publisher Awaken Realms launched a reprint campaign of "The Great Wall" (BGG: 7.9) on the company's crowdfunding platform Gamefound in April this year.
The aim of this campaign was to make the game released in 2021, along with its stretch goals and expansions, available to the people who missed the original campaign. In addition, the often-criticized rulebook has been reworked and made available to backers of the old campaign.
Pledge Manager Open - Last Chance!
The Pledge Manager was officially open from late June through August 17th. It reopened two days later to give backers who missed the deadline another chance to finalize their pledge.
To the advantage of everyone who is interested in the game and might still want to support the campaign, since the Late Pledge is also available again. Until August 29th at 20 p.m. you still have the chance to purchase the miniature version of “The Great Wall” at a reasonable price. In addition, you have the choice to order the miniatures in the Sundrop variant for a small surcharge. This highlights details of the figures and makes them look even more impressive on the game board.
In addition to the basic game including its stretch goals, you can also purchase the expansions Black Powder, Ancient Beasts and Iron Dragon as well as a playmat, an art book and improved resources that replace the cardboard markers with plastic markers. The expected delivery date is April/May 2023.

In addition to the pledge manager for "The Great Wall", the one for "Lords of Ragnarok" is currently open on Gamefound and also offers a late pledge option. The spiritual successor to the area control game "Lords of Hellas" (BGG: 7.8) is available from 99 euros and is open for an indefinite period.
In addition, a crowdfunding campaign for the continuation of the cooperative adventure game "Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon" (BGG: 8.2) called "Tainted Grail: Kings of Ruins" is currently being planned.
