Repairing and restoring objects, discovering rare objects and antiques and becoming the ultimate repair shop: all this awaits players in The Repair House, the new game from Claudiu Kiss, the forefather of the PC Building Simulator, coming to PC via Steam in 2023.
The Repair House is a relaxing repair and restoration simulation where players experience the joy of discovering old broken items and fixing them up again. From industrial antiques and musical instruments to gaming consoles and arcade machines, as the Repair House owner, players replace damaged parts by meticulously disassembling each item. The individual parts must first be located and then carefully reassembled. Damaged objects can be restored and individualized by sandblasting, cleaning or with the help of a new coat of paint.
Virtual Antiquities Hunter
Auction houses, storerooms, barns and flea markets have to be visited in order to get hold of new items, to buy or sell them. In order to make it easier to decide whether or not to bid on a storage space, it can be inspected remotely in advance. There may be things of value in there that can be sold for a profit after restoration - or they may just be worthless junk. Players can customize their workshop, set up new storage and display areas, and level them up to create the ultimate repair house.
"It was incredibly fun to use the lessons learned from my previous game to take the repair genre to the next level," said Claudiu Kiss, founder of Quantum Logic Games. “We know people love to take things apart and fix them. Now we've added an element that many of you might recognize from TV: discovering hidden gems in barns or storage containers, which are then refurbished or adjusted. After that, players can decide whether they want to sell the item for profit or proudly display it in their private quarters.”
