My Little Pony, Transformers and GI Joe board games? This is exactly what a cooperation between toy giants will be like in the future Hasbro and Renegade Game Studios, including the makers of a corresponding title for Power Rangers. Renegade Game Studios has officially announced the partnership, with both board games and deck-building games set to hit shelves from 2021.
The two publishers first cooperated in 2018 to bring the board game Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid onto the market. In the meantime, eleven additions to the title have been published. More games will follow from 2021, then for the Transformers, My Little Pony and GI Joe brands. That goes from a announcement Hervor.
Power Rangers are followed by other heroes - and colorful ponies
First of all, the Power Rangers role-playing game and a deck building game are available for Renegade Game Studios. The latter will initially be presented by Renegade as a virtually playable demo at its in-house convention from October 9th to 11th, then at another event at the end of October - the title will hit shelves in the second quarter of 2021. This will be accompanied by new websites, Renegade in the Autumn wants to bring live, as well as from various game events.
What might be more exciting for fans in this country is the fact that Hasbro and Renegade Game Studios will also publish game titles for other Hasbro brands: My Little Pony, Transformers and GI Joe. “Hasbro has brought fans so much joy through these game worlds filled with rich narratives and iconic characters,” said Scott Gaeta, head of Renegade Game Studios. They are looking forward to the partnership Hasbro to bring the stories about the brands to the gaming tables in a completely new way.
Hasbro seems to be in good spirits about the partnership. With the implementation of the Power Rangers board game, Renegade Game Studios had already proven that they know how to adapt such strong brands. "We're confident that fans of GI Joe, Transformers and My Little Pony will love these exciting games," said Casey Collins, Hasbro's senior vice president.
There are no details about the new licensed board games. The new deck building game for Power Rangers, on the other hand, should be available for pre-order from the fourth quarter. The Renegade portfolio shows that the adaptations could succeed: The publisher combines board games such as Clank !, Altiplano or Terror Below in its portfolio, which means, among other things, games for connoisseurs and experts.
