Rocksteady's new superhero video game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is coming later than planned. As Sefton Hill announced, the release of the title had to be postponed to spring 2023. Man wants to make the best game you can make.

A pretty impressive trailer was released for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice in December, but the game was first introduced about two years ago. WB Games planned the release of the title for the year 2022 - and so far there has at least been no official reason to doubt this schedule. Now, surprisingly, the announcement of a release postponement comes.

There were hints...

It was already indicated at the beginning of the year that the release period might not be able to be met. It was said internally that WB Games and Rocksteady would only release Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League next year – but there has been no official confirmation so far. Meanwhile, Sefton Hill Game Director and Rocksteady co-founder tweeted, "We have made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League into Spring 2023." Hill says delays are "frustrating" but they want to use the extra time to deliver the best game possible.

From the point of view of the publisher WB Games, the postponement also makes sense from an economic point of view. With Gotham Knights (October 25) and Hogwarts Legacy, two potential bestseller candidates are in the pipeline at short notice, filling the release calendar with another heavyweight would have made little sense. The postponement to the new year is therefore probably the better solution, at least for the publisher. The additional project time takes some of the pressure off the developers. Rocksteady can use the additional time resources for quality improvement.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
