Frontier Foundry, the games label of Frontier Developments plc, and developer Haemimont Games, creators of strategic sci-fi city builder Surviving Mars, today announced that exciting survival sim Stranded: Alien Dawn will launch on Tuesday, April 25 for Coming to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Players who pre-order or purchase the game on all platforms between now and May 9, 2023, as well as those who purchased the game in PC Early Access, can upgrade their bases with an exclusive escape pod and new wooden planks as building materials as part of the exclusive pre-order content expand.
Fourth major update is imminent
Stranded: Alien Dawn offers players a free 3D world where their every decision will decide the fate of a small group of survivors. Starting with nothing but the basics, you must ensure that the stranded survivors can work together to turn their crash site into an ever-growing base while they come to terms with their beautiful but unforgiving surroundings.
From the vibrant mountainous region of Sobrius to the rugged sands of Desertum, survivors must repel attacks from alien wildlife, learn about strange new plants, and research new technologies to ensure they can truly survive. From a simple safehouse to a high-tech fortress, survivors must mine, hunt, farm, and craft to establish a thriving base and reach their ultimate goal.
Each survivor brings their own unique abilities, traits, and backstories, and players must ensure the party can work together as they are pushed to the brink and confronted with threats large and small, from mysterious diseases to to extreme weather. In addition to providing for the basic needs of survivors, it is important to help them adjust to their new circumstances by providing opportunities for entertainment, relaxation, and relationship building to maintain their well-being.
During PC Early Access, players were already able to enjoy several updates that brought stunning regions and expanded gameplay, from animal taming to impressive new moons and much more. The fourth major update arrives in Early Access on PC via Steam on March 28th with an exciting trading outpost scenario. A wealth of new mechanics allows for resource trading with four unique factions, while welcoming an enterprising new survivor to the player roster. All of this and more will be available to players on all platforms at launch, offering an in-depth planetary survival simulation with endless possibilities.
