The PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released in November. Rockstar Games announced this first on Twitter and then on the official homepage. The date for the PC release is a fact that fans have long been hoping for. In any case, it is now official: Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will be released on November 5th, but the release is a bit complicated.

The journey to a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has now resembled an odyssey: the measures taken by fans ranged from urgent demands to collections of signatures to motivate Rockstar Games to bring the Western epic to PC screens. After Rockstar Games published its in-house launcher, it was clear to industry experts: There is probably a secret plan behind it.

That the release of the launcher would likely be related to the release of the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2, an assumption that has now been confirmed. Rockstar Games itself has dated the date for the PC release on November 5th.

RDR2: Steam version comes later, Stadia release planned

It took about a year for Rockstar Games to bring the western epic Red Dead Redemption 2 to the PC. Finally, PC gamers will think - and rightly so. Our console test already indicates why you can look forward to the PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2 here can read. Since Rockstar Games announced the release date, new details about the PC version have been leaking out over and over again.

After Rockstar has brought its own launcher onto the market, games will initially be primarily marketed via this platform. So Red Dead Redemption 2 will be in the PC version from 9. October Available for pre-order through the Rockstar Games Launcher. In return, fans will receive some in-game goodies (horse, treasure map and some small change) for the solo campaign and some currency (50 gold bars) for the multiplayer mode.

Only on 23. October Pre-orders for Red Dead Redemption 2 will also start in the Epic Store and the Humble Store. The title will be published - and therefore playable - on all platforms from November 5th. Only about a month later, probably in December, the western game will be over Steam to be available. There is no specific date for this yet. Also for Google Stadia Red Dead Redemption 2 is to be made available as the starting title, but the date for it is still in the stars.

What is also speculated about, are those System Requirements. In order to be able to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on the PC, according to rumors, players need at least an i5-3570 with 3,4 Ghz (alternatively an AMD FX-6350), 8 GB of RAM and a DirectX 11 compatible graphics card with 2 GB of memory. We recommend an i7-3930K with 3,2 Ghz (AMD Ryzen 5 2600), 16 GB Ram and at least 6 GB graphics memory. The title takes up around 100 GB on the hard drive. On October 9th, gamers will probably know more - on that day Rockstar Games will reveal more details about the PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2.

What many fans hope for from the PC port could actually happen: This is how Red Dead Redemption 2 graphically revised and technically optimized be, moreover it will new content, including bounty missions, gang outposts, additional weapons and other previously unspecified content. Red Dead Online will also feature multiplayer mode from PC launch, which Rockstar Games will use to regularly update updates - including those recently released for consoles Frontier pursuits-Content.

To make pre-ordering via the new Rocktar Games Launcher more attractive to fans, there are not only the named in-game items, but also two free games from the Rockstar portfolio. The following are available to choose from: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Bully: Scholarship Edition, LA Noire: The Complete Edition and Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition. None of them are brand new titles, but they are pretty good entertainment for free.
