Red Dead Redemption 2 has long been playable on the PC, now Rockstar Games has announced that distribution via Valve's games platform Steam will soon start. So far it was unclear when exactly the game would appear there, now there is a release date: Red Dead Redemption 2 for Steam comes on December 5th.
Red Dead Redemption 2: what are the Steam reviews?
After the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 was released, there were quite a few issues that gamers struggled with. The list of errors after the release ranged from start problems to a drop in performance and crashes. Quick help was available for some problems, other errors could be rectified by means of fixes.
On Steam in particular, users are usually very sensitive to the accumulation of errors in games. How the community will react in view of the imminent release remains exciting. Rockstar Games will probably fix further bugs until the Steam release in order not to let the possible dissatisfaction of the fans lead to negative reviews.
There is not much time left, on December 5th, Red Dead Redemption 2 will already be available on Steam. The studio announced this on Twitter:

Despite all the flaws, the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the most anticipated open world games. In particular, the impressive appearance enhances the game considerably in direct comparison to the current-gen console versions - at least if Rockstar Games gets the worst technical blunders eliminated. Just a few days ago an update with the version number 1.14.1 was released that should fix serious crashes and some graphics errors. That doesn't stop there: Rockstar Games will continue to work on bug fixes and bug fixes.
The western epic is already convincing on consoles in terms of play and technology in ours Test. In addition to a successful story, the grandiose character drawings are particularly convincing. With the Steam release, another big wave of fans should be animated to roam the open game world with Arthur Morgan.
