Ubisoft announced today that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction will be released on January 20, 2022 and that it will offer a crossplay Buddy Pass system that allows up to two friends to play for free.
The standard edition can now be pre-ordered at a new, reduced price from 39,99 euros. Rainbow Six Extraction offers, among other things, an extensive progress system for the operator, four different levels of difficulty, 12 new maps (almost three times the size of the well-known maps from Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege) spread over four dynamic regions, over 60 weapons, well-known pieces of equipment Rainbow Six Siege and 15 exclusive REACT gadgets. According to Ubisoft, Extraction also receives extensive and free post-launch support, including an endgame mode that will offer new challenges every week.
Extraction Edition unlocks tokens
Each Extraction Edition unlocks two Buddy Pass Tokens, which enable players to invite their friends and play with them for up to 14 days on most platforms for free. During these two weeks, all progress made by group members when purchasing the full version will be carried over. All pre-orders also unlock the “Orbital Decay” cosmetic package in Extraction. The Deluxe Edition, which contains three bonus packages, can also be pre-ordered now from 49,99 euros.
Players who own both Rainbow Six Siege and Rainbow Six Extraction will immediately unlock the 18 Extraction Operators in Rainbow Six Siege and receive United Front's elite cosmetic packages in both games.
The game will also be released with crossplay, cross-save and crossplay progress on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Windows PC in the Ubisoft Store. Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft + on PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
Under the direction of Ubisoft Montreal, Rainbow Six Extraction is recruiting players to join the Rainbow Exogenous Analysis & Containment Team (REACT) and assemble a one- to three-player squad of popular Rainbow Six Siege operators. Together they face mysterious alien creatures, the Archæans. For the first time there will be an individual level system for each of the 18 operators, so that they can be developed in different directions. As you level up, new containment zones, operators, customization items, new REACT technologies, higher levels of difficulty, story elements and more are permanently unlocked.
