Krafton takes PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS to the next level with Update 17.1. The update is available now for PC and consoles and not only reintroduces the popular Sanhok map in its original design, but also brings with it a new ranked season, a new weapon (ACE32) and adjustments to the tactical gear.
The patch notes for the 17.1 update are comprehensive. The patch for PC and consoles not only includes a look back at the Sanhok map, but also some bug fixes and a new weapon with the ACE32.

As announced in the PUBG Development Plan 2022, Sanhok returns in his original form. The lobster-shaped bootcamp building, docks, ruins, quarry, and blue-green jungle theme are back on the map. After updating the map in 2020 and receiving repeated feedback from the community, the team decided to overhaul much of Sanhok, bringing the map back to the original version by removing the loot truck, decoy grenade, and jammer pack.
Update 17.1 introduces a new ranked season, which will automatically add all rewards earned during Season 16 to players' inventories once the new ranked season begins. After Season 17 ends, server maintenance will remove all rewards from inventory except for the Parachute skin.
A new 7,62mm weapon is coming in Update 17.1! Due to the lack of 7,62mm weapons in the current AR weapon pool compared to 5,56mm weapons, the low-recoil ACE32 will be easier to master than the Beryl M762. The new weapon is available to players on all maps.
With 17.1, players can no longer store tactical gear (drone, EMT gear, and scope) in the tactical pack. Scope updates are currently being evaluated and will be coming with the 17.2 update. More information on the Spotter Scope changes coming soon.
