Paradox Interactive and Double Eleven today announce the release of the Future Tech Pack, the ninth content update for Prison Architect.
The mini-expansion provides players with high-tech features to manage their prison yards and inmates with even greater security. Prison Architect: Future Tech Pack will be available on November 22, 2022 at a suggested retail price of $2,99.
Coming to PC and consoles on November 22nd
Future Tech Pack adds optimizations to occupant monitoring, customization, and structure. Players can build controllable searchlights, keycard activated doors and more to further enhance their facilities. Inmates and guards will also receive updated uniforms with a more futuristic design. This update is also compatible with Escape Mode, allowing players to adopt an inmate's perspective to put the new technique to the test while trying to escape the self-created prison facility.
Prison Architect: Future Tech Pack features:
- Advanced searchlights: This technological marvel tracks misbehaving inmates. Equipped with a surveillance camera, a dramatic beam of light and a siren, nothing goes unnoticed. The best part? Players can operate the searchlights themselves!
- New floors, futuristic doors and key cards: Squares are a thing of the past - the future is hexagonal and triangular tiles. Guards no longer need keys thanks to the new shiny keycards that open every futuristic door.
- New Structures, Utilities, and Robotic Dogs: After the concrete walls comes glass. With glass walls, players can see their occupants at all times, and if that's not enough, tracking belts are put on. Players track locations using the location menu, monitors, and routers. If necessary, an electric fence is now also available. Last but not least, the design of the inmates' and guards' uniforms has been revised to give them a more futuristic look. And subwoofers and Byte, the two new robotic watchdogs, should also be mentioned.
The Prison Architect: Future Tech Pack can be wishlisted on Steam. Along with the Future Tech Pack expansion comes The Slam, a free update available to all Prison Architect players. The Slam adds gameplay improvements, a visitor zone, more staff break categories, and much more.
