The Polish publisher CD Projekt Red presented good figures at the quarterly financial conference. The number of pre-orders for Cyberpunk 2077, which will only appear in April of next year for PC and console, and later for the game streaming service Google Stadia, is already phenomenal.

The interest in Cyberpunk 2077 continues. The number of clicks on the videos for the new action role-playing game from the Witcher makers alone shows how much fans long for new information. As part of a quarterly meeting, CD Projekt Red has now informed about the current financial situation. In addition to the business figures, the statements about the pre-orders of Cyberpunk 2077 were particularly interesting.

Big wave of pre-orders is still ahead

With two franchises - The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 - CD Projekt Red wants to drive company growth in the future. The Polish publisher confirmed this to its investors a few days ago. Cyberpunk 2077 is already a promising brand for CD Projekt Red, which - together with The Witcher - is to be expanded in the future.

The prerequisites are good, as was evident from the statements made by Adam Kicinski and Piotr Nielubowicz. The pre-orders of Cyberpunk 2077 surpass those of The Witcher 3, commented the two during the financial meeting. They are very satisfied with the numbers, but do not want to make any more specific statements at the moment.

Last but not least, the recently made available "Deep dive video" with insights into the gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 should have caused a renewed surge of attention.

The success with pre-orders is remarkable, especially because the largest wave of pre-orders takes place after the first reviews of a title have been published - but this is still ahead of Cyberpunk 2077, so that a further increase in pre-orders can be assumed is. First game tests - and then especially good ratings - could have a positive impact on Cyberpunk 2077's pre-order numbers.

Cyberpunk 2077 is due to be released on April 16, 2020 for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One and later also for Google Stadia.
