PlayStation 5: Nioh Collection announced for February 2021

Sony and Team Ninja announce a "Nioh Collection" for early February 2021. Appropriate for the fourth anniversary of the franchise. These are remastered editions of "Nioh" and "Nioh 2" for the PlayStation 5. The popular action role-playing game was first released for the PlayStation 2017 in 4, followed a year later by Nioh 2, another title in the series. The video games for the PS5 are to be sold individually and as a bundle, with 4K and 120fps support.

The SamuraiRoleplaying games Nioh and Nioh 2 remind some gamers of “Dark Souls”. This is undoubtedly due to the fact that opponents are not numerous but are even more difficult to defeat. But Nioh offers so much more: The video game combines the true history of Japan with exciting legends. The first part of the game tells the story of the sailor William Adams, who traveled to Japan in 1600 and found himself in the middle of a war between rival clans. Nioh 2 is a prequel to the first samurai adventure and is about the Sengoku period, set between 1477 and 1573.

On February 5, 2021, the following digital RPG titles will be released for the PS5 to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the franchise:

• Nioh 2: The Complete Edition - For the PlayStation 4
• Nioh Remastered: The Complete Edition - For the PlayStation 5
• Nioh 2 Remastered: The Complete Edition - For the PlayStation 5
• "The Nioh Collection" - For the PlayStation 5

Tom Lee, the creative director of Team Ninja, expressed himself emotionally in a PlayStation blog post: It is sad for the players, but also for the development team, that the last chapter of the action role-playing game has opened with Nioh 2. For this reason, the team would like to thank all of its fans, as a token of appreciation, with a revised version of both games for the next-gen console.

While many of you may be sad to see the story of Nioh 2 arriving at its final chapter (I know I am), I'd like to thank all of our fans that have been by our side along this crazy journey from the release of the first Nioh right up until this milestone. The Nioh 2 Completed Edition for the PS4 should include all three DLC expansions in the offer. The Nioh Collection for the PS5 both remastered titles, including the PS5 Exclusive DLCs. All PS5 content comes to your home screen in 4K resolution and offers gameplay of up to 120fps. The game data of the PS4 version can be transferred to the PS5.

In addition, players who have already played Nioh2 on the PS4 will receive an upgrade of the base game - including all DLC expansions from the previous ownership, two upgrade routes as a bonus if they decide to buy a PlayStation 5.
