The board and card game fair Play! celebrates a visitor record in Dortmund. According to the organizer, well over 14.000 fans came to the exhibition halls.
The organizers, Nostheide Verlag, are overjoyed: this year's game ends with a record number of visitors! 2023, which again took place at Messe Dortmund. In what is now the fourth edition of the games event, the signs are pointing to recovery. After around 11.200 visitors last year, a record has now been set with "well over 14.000" fans and thus reached a pre-Corona level.

On Saturday and Sunday, the large Hall 4 was at times almost bursting at the seams due to the rush of visitors, according to Nostheide Verlag. On Sunday, many of the more than 100 participating publishers and retailers were almost sold out.
The rush now has positive consequences for fans. As the organizers have already announced, a further expansion of the fair is already certain. "In the coming year we will again increase the exhibition space due to the already strong demand," say the organizers Jens and Tim Nostheide. "Even the always well-frequented gaming area with the game rental with so far more than 400 places will be given even more space."
