The first public demo version of the highly anticipated building simulation Pioneers of Pagonia from the award-winning indie studio Envision Entertainment is now available for free on Steam.
In the demo version, future pioneers can set off on an adventure to Pagonia on three maps and experience the busiest economic simulation of all time with branching production chains in German, English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French and Polish. Anyone interested can also add Pioneers of Pagonia to their wishlist on Steam.
First early access roadmap available
“The entire team is overjoyed that the first alpha test was received so positively by the testers. Many spent 10, 20 or even more hours on the three maps, enjoying the atmosphere and experimenting with their settlements, even though the content was actually only intended for three or four hours,” said Volker Wertich, Creative Director at Envision Entertainment. “On behalf of the entire team, I would like to thank our great community for the constructive feedback, which we have evaluated in detail and is already having an impact on further development. For example, we were able to implement some suggestions directly for the current demo, while other ideas will then be integrated into or during the early access start.”
Until the early access release on December 13, 2023, the team of around 20 people led by Creative Director Volker Wertich is working on many other features that are not yet available in the current demo version.
These include expanded hotkeys, neutral factions, various enemies, additional procedural map creation options, and trading with other factions. Plans for the first quarter of 1 include shared co-op mode, expanded production statistics, underground mining and the fishing hut, one of the community's most frequently requested buildings in the closed alpha.
Players of the early access version can discover the legendary island world of Pagonia from December 13, 2023 for the price of EUR 29,99 and dedicate themselves to building their settlements with more than 40 different building types and over 70 different goods on procedurally created maps. All transport of goods, manufacturing processes and discoveries made by the population are presented through loving animations and can be followed from start to finish. Thanks to the procedurally generated maps, countless variations are created for varied gaming experiences.
