The witty card game Mind Up! by Pegasus Spiele is now available exclusively on Amazon. Only those who keep an eye on the cards that bring the most points and correctly assess other players can win the family game.

The compact card game Mind Up! by Maxime Rambourg is easy to learn and can be played in just 15-30 minutes, but it requires strategy and a good sense of which card the other players are eyeing. Three to six players aged eight and over play a card each turn. These are sorted in ascending numerical order and thus determine who gets which card from the display. Thanks to the clever scoring mechanism, it only becomes clear over the course of the round which color is particularly valuable for each person.

A game consists of three rounds, each of which consists of several moves. Everyone has five scoring cards in front of them, which are put into a random order each round, but one that is identical for all players. In each turn, all players first place a card face down on the table and then reveal it at the same time. The person with the lowest number gets the lowest card in the display, the person with the second lowest number gets the second lowest card, and so on. The card received is then placed in their own display: either under the scoring card that already has cards of that color under it, or under the next empty scoring card. The round ends when all cards have been played from the hand. The points are then counted by multiplying the value of each scoring card by the number of cards placed there. In addition, individual cards show extra plus or minus points.

A variant with additional target cards makes for an even greater challenge. Each round a target card is revealed, for example "Two points if there is no other color to the right of your green cards" or "Two minus points if you have exactly 1 cards of at least 3 color". This makes the family game a little more complex and varied.
