Paradox Interactive has unveiled the Overlord expansion for Stellaris: new empire mechanics, megastructures and other innovations ensure order in the galaxy. There is also a trailer to accompany the announcement.
Paradox Interactive, developers and publishers of empirically superior games, today revealed Overlord, an upcoming expansion for Stellaris. Overlord will grant players access to new features focused on more complex management of their intergalactic empires, from specialized minions to powerful new megastructures.
"Overlord" for PC version
Fans can use these new features to bring order and glory to the galaxy - or bring it to its knees. Overlord will be available soon for the PC version of Stellaris and will be released together with the free update 3.4 "Cepheus" for Stellaris. This update includes new content and customization for all players and is part of the Custodian team's ongoing effort to continually improve Stellaris.
In Overlord, ambitious leaders will unlock a new level of empire management and realize their grand plans for the universe. Specialized minion roles allow players to either lead the planets in their realm to unprecedented heights of glory or keep them under control. New enclaves will offer unprecedented opportunities and challenges. A selection of novel megastructures will provide alternatives to expand power farther and faster. Five brand new origins, new music, and more features will be included when Overlord launches later this year.
