Around SPIEL'22, two new family games will be released by Edition Spielwiese, both exclusively distributed by Pegasus Spiele. With All In, the third part of the successful MicroMacro: Crime City series is already available, in which the players go on a gangster hunt in a new district.
The second novelty, Swindler, which will be available for the first time as part of the International Game Days, also has a criminal theme: the players steal from “rich sacks” as thieves in Victorian London.
Pretty criminal
In the new release Swindler by Matthias Cramer, the players slip into the role of thieves who want to relieve the "rich sacks" in Victorian London of some valuables. After choosing a character board, the would-be thieves first decide whether they will voluntarily reserve a job. Then something has to be stolen from a "rich sack": The active person now draws tiles from one of the cloth sacks.
If she draws loot, she may end the turn or keep trying. If she draws a skull, she has been caught and must discard all looted loot tiles with the same background color, whether they are from the current or a previous loot. After that, the loot can still be sold to a fence and/or an order can be fulfilled. The game ends after completing six to nine orders (depending on the number of players).
Accomplices bring additional options and thrills to the game. Swindler's suggested retail price is €29,99. The family game for two to four people aged ten and over will be available for the first time at the Internationale Spieltage SPIEL: Thursdays and Fridays exclusively at the Edition Spielwiese booth in Hall 2, D110, and from Saturday also at the Pegasus Games booth in Hall 3, M110.

A success story par excellence MicroMacro: Crime City. The family game Studio Hard Boiled Games was published in autumn 2020 and the sales of the first and second parts have now reached around 2,5 million copies. The game has also been translated into 32 languages and received the coveted Game of the Year award in 2021. With MicroMacro: Crime City 3 - All In, the third part of the popular series for one to four people has now been released.
The novelty can be played completely independently. No previous knowledge from the previous two parts is necessary - but fans of the series can look forward to seeing one or the other well-known character again. In the third part, too, the central element is a huge city map (75 x 110 cm) in black and white. The aim is to discover details, but also to combine them creatively in order to solve a total of 16 new criminal cases. The entry hurdle is low due to the very short instructions.
The cases are aimed at people from the age of ten and last around 15 to 45 minutes each and the suggested retail price is 24,99 euros.
